The events of the war in Ukraine in 2014 had a profound impact on our life. Faced with the uncertainties and challenges of the conflict, we made the courageous decision to immigrate to Canada that year. This journey was not just a physical relocation but a pursuit of stability, peace, and a better future.
Canada, with its welcoming embrace and diverse opportunities, provided a new beginning and a chance to rebuild amidst the echoes of the past. My immigration became a personal story, a choice between fear and hope, between doom and faith in a better life for our children, and the desire for a life free from the shadows of the madness of dictatorship.
